Calendar of Important Dates for the Fellowship Examination in Critical Care

affecting all candidates taking examinations after 1st Jan 2015

 

This is a Calendar of Important dates (last dates for registrations & dates of Examinations) relevant to candidates who have registered for the Part 1 Examination in early 2015 for their examination in Jan-Feb 2015 and subsequent examinations. This Calendar supersedes all earlier calendars and will be followed for all Examinations held after 1st January 2015.

 

TABLE A: Registration for Part 1 (Primary Examination) in CCM

Last date for candidates to register with College of Critical Care

Medicine for Part 1 Examination to be held in Jan-Feb following year

10th March of current year by 6 pm. No registration permitted after this date.

2.

Registration for Orientation program for Part 1 candidates (May

Current Year)

7th April of Current Year by 12MN.

3.

3 days Orientation Program

May of Current Year by midnight.

4.

Registration for Mock Examination & Crash Course

30th Nov of Current Year.

5.

Last date for logbook submission.

(Note: Passing logbook is MUST for appearing in the theory exam.

Candidates who fail to submit their logbook will not be permitted to appear for examination and will have to re-register next year)

30th Nov of Current Year by 12 MN. Late fee up to 5th Dec Rs 10,000. No logbook will be accepted after this date.

6.

Theory Exam and OSCEs

Mock Examination & Crash Course

(Note: Theory, OSCEs/ Mock/Crash course will be at same venue as

that for final practical exam. This is to allow candidates to get

familiar to the centre, hotels, transportation in that region). Candidates who fail in BOTH theory and OSCEs will not be eligible to appear for Clinical Cares and Vivas.

Held in January of following year.

TABLE B: Registration for Part 2 (FINAL Examination) in CCM

Clinical cases and Vivas Examination

November-December same year

Candidates who FAIL this part 2 Exam register for Part 2 Exam (regular batch) following year.

Candidates who pass this part 2 Exam is declared “Fellow of the College of Critical Care Medicine”

and can affix F.C.C.C.M after their name.

 

 

TABLE C: Registration for Part 1 (Supplementary Examination) in CCM

 

Candidates who Fail Part 1 Examination above

1.

Last date for candidates to register with College of Critical Care

Medicine for the Part 1 Supplementary Examination.

Within 15 days of declaration of

Part 1 Examination results. (No new

logbook to be submitted)

2.

Supplementary Theory Exam and Supplementary Practical

examination will be held together (Note: but results will be

declared within fortnight).

April of same year

3.

Candidates who are unsuccessful in this supplementary

examination will register with next year Part 1 Regular batch

(Exam in Jan-Feb of following year) SEE TABLE A.

Need to Register within 15 days of

declaration of Part 1 Examination

results. (No new logbook to be

submitted)

4.

Candidates who PASS in this supplementary examination will

register for Part 2 Regular batch (Exam in Nov-Dec same year) SEE Table B

30 April same year.
